All the best places to visit have a coffee shop, I'm fully convinced of it. Adamsville is no exception.
Christy Wilson opened The Bean Scene in 2018. Originally a transplant from Middleton, TN in 2003; she made McNairy County her home. Mrs. Christy moved to Adamsville from Finger
in 2007. She said that in 2018 she was on 22 driving near downtown and saw the back of what is now The Bean Scene when she got "word from the Lord." Wilson stated that all of the "puzzle pieces" fell together in a supernatural way.
She said God inspired the menu for The Bean Scene and began working on opening the coffee shop/cafe duo in February of 2018. By October of 2018 she began renting the fully furnished building. By 2021 Wilson had built her business up enough to buy the two buildings.
Her future plans for The Bean Scene are to continue to curate the "boho" vibe, renovate the porch, and further expand the menu.

For the last 6 years Wilson has hosted a Galentine's Event in Downtown Adamsville. She said that the cafe is an excellent place for the community - members of the community can be commonly found having their own private bible studies. The cafe has a very peaceful, inviting atmosphere with decor that's stuck in time - 2018 to be exact. It's fantastic, honestly. I wanted to run back home and throw on my favorite beanie, an oversized plaid shirt, skinny jeans, and my well-loved converse.
I tried the Lavender Fields Iced Latte. The coffee is very smooth and flavorful. One of the best coffee's I've had the pleasure of having in West Tennessee... which is saying a lot because I drink A LOT of coffee.

This is the most updated menu for The Bean Scene! They have a wide variety of food to choose from. I'm super exctied to go back and grab a wrap... or some soup. Anything really. The entire menu sounds absolutely delectable.
Stay tuned for more events at The Bean Scene! Christy has more plans for another Murdery Mystery Dinner - she's hosted one already and is working on another.
McNairy County has so many amenities to offer and we're so excited to showcase them all. The Bean Scene is just the beginning! Keep an eye for local events and insight on all the best things about McNairy County.
